Where did you first learn to surf?
Tea Gardens at South Narrabeen. It was straight after my last football game before I had an operation to get cochlear implant. So it was the end of footy and the beginning of surfing that time. I was 10 years old.
Who or what first influenced you to start surfing?
Not long ago before I started surfing, my brother stopped bodyboarding and started surfing. I think I wanted to start surfing because of him. I was a bodyboarder for a long time before I was ten. It must be all the looking at my dad and brothers surfing that got me into surfing.
First Board?
Vicious Circle, can't remember the dimensions.
Current Board?
Warner..shaped by Brett Warner. Demensions are 5'8", 19 1/2, 2 5/16..great fish board.
Regular surf spots?
I mainly surf at Woonona and Bulli beach but I go to Sandon Point, Peggys, Thirroul when the waves at Bulli and Woonona is crap. During winter time I go to Wombarra and Coledale a lot to seek heavier barrels.

Woonona, Peggys, Coledale, Bulli
Best Surfing Competition Achievement?Came 1st three times at Crescent Head, Deaf Surfs Up Championship from 2006 - 2008. Haven't really been to hearings comps as they take much longer to wait as I am a very impatient person haha
Worst surfing injury?
Haven't had a serious injury but had a few lettle injuries...One was when I had a wipeout I was inside the wave with my board coming very close to me, I was going circles in the wave and trying to get the board away from me... was worried about sharp fins I just bought! and ended up a having a huge cut on my foot!! The other one was got stung by bluebottle on my friggin balls!!! Pain was horrible and didn't go away till more than hour!! |
Favourite place to satisfy your hunger after a big session in water?
My home where 100 food is. Haha
Favourite beach for relaxed, when not surfing?
Definetely at Peggys when its pumping and I watch it all day on the hill drinking my favourite milkshake from Lil cafe on Peggys surf hill and it has an awesome view of watching Peggy waves...bloody awesome!!!!! It's my wife and childrens favourite beach too!!
Favourite swimming hole, when not surfing?
Don't have one as I have never been swimming in rockpools. It's just that I've done enough swimming from surfing!!!!
Favourite other water sports?
Ummmmmm... Ummmmmm... Ummmmmmmmmm... scratches my head.....Ummmmmmm.... don't have ONE!!!! Just surfing and surfing!!!
Favourite Holiday spots in Australia?
Esperance in south western of Australia. It's small country town away from cities, it has the most beautiful pristine beaches I've ever seen anywhere in Australia and you can surf there. It has waves!! Gold Coast and Sunshine beaches rock but it's too overcrowded but for holiday is good.

H20 and breakfast juices

Seafood and steak!!!

Other hobby or sporting interests?
Skate and fitness and I don't hardly do it. I'm too lazy! Only surfing gets me going!!
Best memory in life?
Best barrell at Mona Vale and Thirroul, travelling around Australia, Wife and kids.
Worst embarrassing in life?
Tried to fart at school when I made my mates to watch (near the principals) but did a poo instead!! My mates laugh and laugh and laugh!!! It came straight out of my shorts as I never wear undies! Ever!!! It was minutes before the bell rang for kids to go back to their classes, I quickly ran to the toilet then wait back and the poo was gone from hundreds of kids stepping on it when they went back to the class! ooohhh deaaarrrr!!
